Tom Petherick

Tom Petherick studied horticulture in the UK and later practised forest farming at the Centre for Alternative Technology, Agriculture and Learning in Tamil Naduin southern India.

He joined the Heligan garden project in Cornwall at its outset in 1993 and was responsible for the restoration of the Victorian estate and its gardens to their former glory.

His books include Trees that Shape the World (published by Quadrille), Portrait of the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Gardening the Heligan Way & Sufficient: A Modern Guide to Sustainable Living.
